Tipp TD Criticises HSE Management Over Cashel Minor Injuries Unit

Cashel based TD Martin Browne has criticised the HSE management  regarding the Minor Injury Unit  in Cashel.

Service at the facility in the former Our Lady’s hospital is currently disrupted due to a lack of essential staff.

The Unit needs a doctor on site to function. Deptuy Browne says the HSE have been less than forthcoming in providing an update.

The HSE response is that service will resume next week.

Information about the X-RAY service was also scant with the HSE saying that it is provided on a part time basis by Tipperary University Hospital.

Deputy Browne says the HSE have made no effort to inform the public of the available service or exact hours of operation during the current disruption.

He accused the HSE of breaking a commitment made earlier this year to keep him informed of any changes or interruptions to the service in Cashel.
