A Tipperary Government TD believes there will be progression in the coming months for a much needed extension for Cashel Community School.

Fianna Fail’s Jackie Cahill comments follow the official opening of temporary accommodation development at the school site over the weekend.

Jackie Cahill says the modular accommodation is the first step forward towards the expected extension which was sanctioned by the Education Minister and is currently at stage 1 of the Design Stage

The project for Cashel Community School will include a two-story extension of 1,400 square metres to the existing school.

The granted extension includes six new General classrooms, a general-purpose Design and Graphics room, two multipurpose ASD rooms, administration offices, staff room, principal’s office, access lift, toilets, carpark and a drop off and pick up area.”

Principal John Gallagher says this investment in the temporary accommodation signals the commitment by the Department of Education to the future progression of school.
