No Council Funds For Ballycarron Cross-Tipp Town Road

4 motions from councillors raised the issue of footpath repairs in Tipperary town  and the road between Ballycarron Cross and Tipperary Town at yesterday’s meeting of the Tipp Cahir Cashel MD .

Repairs to footpaths in Redmond Square and Arravale Tce had been requested by Cllr Tony Black – the council agreed to assess the current condition and to consider including the footpaths in any future repair programme.

The condition of speed ramps in James Connolly Park was also  raised by Cllr Black.

These will be examined and repairs undertaken if funding can be sourced. Cllr Anne Marie Ryan sought a sustainable upgrade of the road linking Ballycarron Cross and Tipperary Town.

The council says that as no funds are available for road strengthening works the engineer will continue to patch the road. The road is not included in a list of roads scheduled for restoration over the next 3 years.
