Irish water report that some progress is being made in their effort to improve water provided to the Tipperary Town Public Water Supply from the Cordangan Water Treatment Plant.
However the Boil Water Notice remains in place until further notice.
At present Irish Water are completing works, including flushing the boreholes at the source of the supply in Fawnagowan and carrying out surveys of the boreholes.
On completion of this work further monitoring and sampling of the water supply will be done in consultation with the HSE.
Irish water say another update on the situation will be provided early next week.
The Boil before use notice was issued on Friday December 10th following high levels of discoloration in the water caused by sand.
The situation may have been the result of heavy rainfall due to Storm Barra and a subsequent power outage at in the area.
