Go-Slow Action Is Deferred

The March4Tipp group has said that it is deferring plans to disrupt traffic on the N24 at the beginning of January.

That go-slow measure was due to take place in an effort to urge the local authority and the government to increase their efforts to get the town prospering and to get commitments on the need for a bypass.

The decision to defer the action was made after the Taoiseach ordered the Minster for Local Government to appoint someone to head-up a taskforce for Tipperary.

Speaking to Tipp Mid West this morning, Padraig Culbert said that as a result of this, plans for the go-slow have been deferred for now.

But he also warned that how long that plan of action has been postponed for is dependant upon the council’s vision for the task force and the approval of two-hour free parking in the town.
