New candidate for FG in upcoming local elections

The Fine Gael party has chosen an additional candidate to contest the next local election in the Cashel/Tipperary district.

Apart from the current FG councillors sitting on the district authority, the party’s delegates decided to run an additional candidate – Declan Burgess.

Mr Burgess, a young party member from Cashel was chosen to run for election alongside councillors Mary Hanna Hourigan, Michael Fitzgerald and John Crosse.

Burgess plays a role in many local organisations and is Secretary of Cashel Playground Development and is a local Macra na Feirme Chairman. He is also aYouth Work Ireland Tipperary board member and is on the Cashel King Cormac’s Executive Committee
