The sale of Aherlow House Hotel is being seen as very good news for the local economy.
The new owner – Dublin hotelier Adrian Shanagher – has committed to retaining all staff.
Mr Shanagher is expected to immediatly begin refurbishment at the property and plans to reopen on 3rd March.
The new owners now plan to contact former employees and have also agreed to honour any deposits paid for weddings or functions at the hotel.
A number of them have already booked and paid deposits to other venues for their reception.
