250

The Irish Farm Film Producers Group(IFFPG) are organising the Annual Collection Service for Farmers to recycle their used Farm Film Plastics for 2024. The waste material arises from consumption of baled or pit silage during the winter.

The collections will begin in early July in Newport mart and continue at various marts and Co-Op yards until the end of July.  In west Tipperary  there will be collections   at Gooldscross Tipperary Co-Op yard and at the Raceway in Rosegreen on July 23rd.  Plastic waste will be also be collected  at Cahir mart on July 25th and 26th and at Monard Gortdrum Mines on July 29th and 30th.

Bring-centres represent the most cost effective and convenient means by which farmers can recycle farm plastics. Typically, IFFG operates approximately 235 bring-centres annually. All venues and dates across the county are  published  on the Tipperary County Council website.
