There is some concern within Fine Gael that some party members are being sidelined by party officials when decisions are being made.
Speaking to Tipperary Mid West Radio this morning Fine Gael TD for Tipperary Noel Coonan said that the recent controversy involving the appointment of John Mcnulty to the board of IMMA and then his nomination to run for a Seanad seat was one example of how officials in the upper echelons of the party make decisions without consulting with the politicians who are at the coalface and have to face the consequences of decisions.
He said that the decisions-making process within Fine Gael and its internal party structure needs to be looked at.
