A two-year-old child was killed after being struck by a van in Tipperary town last night.
The tragedy happened on the Rosanna Road shortly before 8 pm when a van collided with the young boy.
Gardai were alerted and administered CPR until an ambulance arrived and took the injured boy to South Tipperary General Hospital.
He was pronounced dead a short time later.
The driver and passenger of the van both of whom were males were uninjured.
