The ESB has said that supply should be back to the vast majority of homes today. However, any homes that find they still do not have electricity at that stage are asked to contact the ESB on 1850372999.
Some homes may experience temporary disruptions to supply as the company deals with other issues as they arise.
In the meantime the ESB is still concerned by broken or low hanging wires which they say may still be live.
People are asked not to approach these wires but to contact the ESB.
The company has also issued a warning for farmers who may have animals that are startled easily as helicopters will be patrolling high voltage lines over the cming days.
The ESB wishes to thank its customers for threir patience and understanding while electricity supplies have been interupted.
