It has emerged that 35,000 submissions were made by the public during the public consultation phase of the Eirgrid project for which there are proposals to run part of a network of pylons through County Tipperary.
As he confirmed the number of submissions made the communications Minister Pat Rabbitte said that he asked the compnay to get back to him as soon as possible on the various issues raised by the public and that he expects to be able to brief the Dail on the matter before the end of January
