Gardai in Thurles are reviewing CCTV footage to assist their investigation into the death of a Co Kilkenny man who was assaulted on Liberty Square on Sunday morning.
25 year-old James Tynan died at South Tipperary General Hospital in Clonmel on Monday evening after being admitted the day before in a critical condition.
A 22 year-old man was subsequently arrested and questioned in connection with the incident and was later released without charge.
A file is being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
