Semple Stadium Management in Thurles are seeking a person to fill an Apprentice-Sports Turf Management position.
The two-year apprenticeship leads to the Higher Certificate in Sportsturf Management, a Level 6 Award.
Suitable candidates are expected to be educated to Leaving Certificate standard, or have a QQI Level 5 or equivalent in horticulture, or be over 17 and have a minimum of 1 years work experience with a recognised Sportsturf employer.
The Sportsturf apprenticeship is coordinated by Teagasc, and apprentices will undergo a number of periods of block release at the Teagasc facility at Piltown, Co. Kilkenny as part of their training programme.
The closing date for applications to the GAA office in Lar Na Páirce, Slievenamon Road Thurles is June 14th.
