Tipperary town Meals on Wheels Service today received a donation of €1,300 from the John O’ Leary Celtic Supporters Club.

The club, which supports the Glasgow based Celtic soccer club, had unanimously decided to make the Meals on Wheels Service, operating from the Community Services Centre building on St Michael’s Street  the recipient of their fundraising campaign this year. Two members of the club, Cllr Tony Black and Seamus Curtin presented the generous cheque to Centre Manager Mr Brian English earlier today.  The Celtic team had a superb season completing a League and Cup Double with Cork man Adam Idah scoring the winner in the Cup Final.  Mr English expressed his gratitude to all of the members of the John O’Leary Celtic Supporters Club for their donation.
