€176,300 has been allocated to 245 local projects in Co. Tipperary under the Department of Rural and Community Development’s Local Enhancement Programme 2024.
The Programme was launched in December 2023 with funding of €6 million available, which included €1 million in funding ring-fenced specifically to support Women’s Groups.
The funding will provide capital supports essential for the many small community groups and organisations, particularly those who serve disadvantaged areas in rural and urban areas.
The largest sum allocated to any one organisation is €1,045.Some local recipients include the Tipperary Excel Centre €1,045, Tipperary Tidy Towns Group and The 3 Drives Resource Centre each receive €,1000, Bansha and Cashel Tidy towns and Tipperary Community Council each receive €795, Tipperary Golf Club, the CJ Kickham Band and Aherlow Fáilte are each allocated €695 while the Aherlow Kilross Community Council is allocated €595.
