487

The bridge over the River Suir in Thurles is to be resurfaced in June.

Tipperary county council roads section is giving notice of a planned night time closure to enable the repair works.

The work is now scheduled to be completed between June 17th and June 25th with the works running from 7pm to 5am each night.

The bridge links the town centre to the N75 road towards Two Mile Borris and the M8 and as such the works are funded by TII.During the works traffic diversion via Littleton and the Horse and Jockey will be in place – although some drivers may use the route via Archerstown which is shorter than the proposed alternative night time route.

The Council Roads section will take submissions on the proposed temporary closure until noon on May 30th.
