Management at FBD Semple stadium in Thurles say the pitch needs a period with no matches to recover from recent wet conditions and the volume of games held at the venue in recent months.
Tipperary Football team’s National League match with Waterford next Sunday is to be moved to a different venue. It is understood that a suitable venue has yet to be confirmed.
No games will be held at Semple Stadium for a few weeks to allow the pitch to recover ahead of the busy Munster Championship and club season.
