A local food business has been recognised at the Great Taste Awards managed by the Guild of Fine Food(UK).
My Tasty – a local husband and wife team has been awarded 2-stars for their Pecan Butter.
Less than 10% of the 14,000 products judged were awarded 2-stars and the My Tasty brand is the only pecan butter to win an award.
The accolade is hugely valuable with consumers and the hospitality trade for marketing purposes.
Miriam and Barry Quinn say the recognition is a moment of pride and joy.
The judges say the product “had an intensely nutty flavour” and that “the added notes of maple create a flavour match made in heaven”.
In previous years the Granola produced by My Tasty has been awarded a Gold Star by the Guild of Fine Foods.
