Householders and landowners will know the final N24 route proposal next month.

It follows much anxiety on the wait to see if the strategic transport corridor will traverse their lands, and if a compulsory purchase order (CPO), may be involved.

Fianna Fail cllr Siobhan Ambrose is confirming that the week of January 17th is when clarity will be reached on the final N24 route proposal.

Cllr Ambrose raised the matter with Director of Roads Marcus O’Connor at this week’s December meeting of Tipperary County Council.

Public meetings will then be held the following week on the 26th in Clonmel and on the 27th in Cahir.Cllr Ambrose says this is an essential piece of infrastructure and in addition to the economic and tourism benefits it will also remove the traffic congestions from several towns and villages including Tipperary Town.
