A fundraising event is to be held in the Irish Wheelchair Association(IWA) centre in Tipperary town on December 6th.

The event will feature an Open Day at the centre. Service users have been creating a range of craft items for the sale which will be held from 11am until 3pm on Wednesday December 6th.  In addition, orders can be placed for personalised items on display next Wednesday. Students from St Ailbes school will provide some festive tunes as part of the event.

Located at Brodeen on the Cashel Road the centre is the hub for a range of services and activities provided in South Tipperary by the Irish Wheelchair Association. The Brodeen facility has been open since 2009 but the IWA has been providing a service in Tipperary since 1976.

Manager Josephine Carroll is encouraging members of the local community to visit to view the facility and to also support the organisation which serves all of South Tipperary incorporating a Day Service in Carrick on Suir and a Young Adult Service in Fethard.
