Two Local Men To Be Remembered In Tractor Run This Sunday

Two local men are to be remembered in a fundraising Tractor Run on Sunday October 15th.

Liam Landers, Ballinlard, Tipperary and Michael “Miko” Heffernan from Church Street, Tipperary town were well loved members of the community and supporters of Tractor Runs over the years.

The event planned for Sunday will bring together many of their friends to raise funds for three local organisations.

The beneficiaries are South Tipperary Hospice, Cluain Arann Community Hospital in Tipperary town and the Excel Cinema Repair Fund Tipperary town.

The organisers will decide after the event how to distribute the funds between the three local services.

Entries of Motor Bikes, Tractors, Trucks and cars can be made in advance or on the day – the event is being co-ordinated by Lorcan Roche (086 396 3157) of Roche’s Pub on O’Brien Street which is the start and end point for the event.

Registration on the day is to begin at 11am and it is intended to start at 12.30pm – the organisers are grateful for the use of Cleanline Farm Services facility on O’Brien Street for the event.

The event will end with refreshments and a raffle in Roche’s pub on return approximately at 2.30pm.

The route for the event is O’Brien Street, Galbally Road – passing Liam’s house, left to Mt. Bruis, Kilross Creamery, Lattin, Shronell and back to Tipperary town.
