A Boil Before Use Notice In Effect On The Thurles Regional Water Supply Scheme

A Boil before use Notice is now in effect on the Thurles Regional Water Supply Scheme. Uisce Eireann says this is due to issues with disinfection at the water treatment plant.

The decision was made after consultation between the Health Service Executive, Uisce Éireann and Tipperary County Council.

Uisce Eireann says all consumers supplied by the Thurles Regional Water Supply Scheme must boil their water before drinking.

 The areas affected are:  Holycross, Thurles, Ballycahill, Bouladuff, Dovea, Borrisoleigh and Drom. A map of the Thurles Regional Water Supply Scheme, detailing the areas affected, is shown below – some 11, 462 people are affected by this notice.
