Franciscans In Ireland Hoping To Fundraise By Auctioning Items From Closed College in Gormanstown And Friary Buildings

The Franciscans in Ireland are hoping to raise over €200,000 by auctioning items from the recently closed College in Gormanstown and the Friary buildings in Clonmel and Athlone.
The funds raised will be used to help refurbish the buildings in Clonmel to provide accommodation for refugees from Ukraine.  The items for sale include furniture, writing desks, statues, art works, Afghan rugs, decommissioned tabernacles, leather bound bibles, Stations of the Cross, safes, brass items such as candlesticks, lanterns and candelabra.
 The auction is being run online on Easyliveacutions.com  and will take place on  May 16th and 17th. The items can be viewed between May 12th and May 15th at the Cook Street Friary in Dublin.  The auction will take place on Easyliveauction.com and the items can also be viewed on this website.
