American food chain Krispy Kreme are set to open a store in Tipperary in the coming months.

The doughnut chain will open a new outlet in Cashel and it will be the chain’s fourth standalone store in Ireland, along with its flagship operations in Blanchardstown and store in The Pavillion in Swords and a new outlet in the Charlestown Shopping Centre.

Since last year, Krispy Kreme doughnuts have been available at Circle K and Tesco outlets around the country, but the Cashel store will be the operator’s fourth retail offering in the Republic, and the first store outside Dublin.

The US company are currently recruiting staff for its Cashel store with the aim of “spread[ing] smiles and bring[ing] joy to all our customers.”

The flagship store opened in Blanchardstown in 2018 and featured a 24-hour drive-through, until complaints from locals forced the company to wind back its trading hours.
