Tipp Cahir Cashel MD To Be Held Next Week

Local councillors are to hold their April Meeting on Monday morning. The eleven councillors in the Tipp Cahir Cashel Municipal District will be given an update from the council’s Environment and Climate Action staff, and in respect of the work of the District Engineers and Administrator’s office.

Six motions have been submitted for consideration – Cllr Tony Black is seeking the installation of “Slow Zones” in Avondale Crescent and in a second motion requests the  replacement of existing footpaths in James Connolly Park, Tipperary Town.

Cllr. Michael Fitzgerald is asking the council to improve safety at the junction of Cluain Arra Housing Estate, Bansha and the N24 road and in a second motion is asking for measures to improve safety and access at Nos 1, 2 and 3 Hillview Estate, Kilross, to make the houses more burglar proof after a spate of thefts from the yards of the properties.

Cllr. Annmarie Ryan is requesting the installation of speed ramps along Station Road, Tipperary Town, between Bridge Street and the Roundabout, in an effort to reduce speeding in the area.  

Cllr. Roger Kennedy is seeking approval from the MD for the relocation of the bus stop from Abbey street to the Link road where space available would allow for the construction of  a bus shelter. 

The meeting will be in the Council offices in Rosanna road beginning at 11am.
