Munster GAA Council To Allocate €1.8M Towards Club Development Grant Fund

Munster GAA Council is to allocate €1.8M towards the Club Development Grant Fund, which will cover capital grant works in clubs in Munster for the years 2020, 2021 and 2022.   The scheme reopened this year having been closed for two years due to the pandemic. €930,000 is donated by the Munster Council and the remaining €870,000 is contributed by Central Council.

The €1.8M is divided across all six Munster counties as follows  – County Tipperary €324,000,  Cork €590,000, Limerick €289,000,  Clare €218,000,  Kerry €196,000 and Waterford €183,000.

€150,000 of the Munster Council budget is allocated to a new category this year, the urban participation projects, €72,000 is allocated to category 7 (sanding grants) and €40,000 to category 8 (legal aid). The remainder of the budget funds category 1 – land purchase, category 2 – clubhouse developments and category 6 (catch all category, pitch and non-pitch works).
