Santa Claus is on schedule to reach Co. Tipperary tonight.

The Irish Aviation Authority says its waived all landing charges for Santa and his reindeers.

The IAA says a specialised air traffic control team is on duty to ensure their safe passage through Irish airspace.

While Met Eireann says the Yellow Status Thunder warning which is in place till 7pm for Cork, Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny and Wexford will have no impact on the delivery of presents to the Premier County and the rest of the country.

The Irish Met Office says Santa and his reindeers will have good visiblilty and clear spells overnight.

Tipp Mid West Radio recieved a message from our Elf before he left early this morning back to the North Pole that children in the county are being advised to go to bed early tonight.
