Another exciting discovery has been made at Lough Gur. Ecologist Geoff Hunt was doing some work with children from Caherelly Primary School and they jointly found a water stick insect.

This is the first time this insect has been found in county Limerick and only the 6th find in all of Ireland.

Ken Williams, a photographer who specialises in taking photos of ancient sites such as Newgrange, discovered new megalithic art at the Great Grange Stone Circle in Lough Gur, Co Limerick in August.
