Irish Water Issues Update On Supply Disruptions

Irish Water Customers in East Tipperary may continue to experience water outages until Thursday.
Work to repair a second mains leak on the scheme is continuing today.
The first burst emptied the reservoir resulting in an outage for homes and businesses in the Coalbrook, Kilbraugh, Gurteen, Ballingarry, Earlshill, Tinnock and surrounding areas.
Crews are already tankering in water in an attempt to refill the reservoir , however, for some customers on higher elevations on the network, it could be Thursday before a full supply is restored.
Tankers of water are now available at 5 locations – ​
Kilbraugh
Earlshill
Hogan’s Bar, Ballysloe
Coalbrook school
Carroll’s Factory, Ballingarry.
Those wishing to collect water must bring their own containers and Irish Water advises that this water be boiled before use as a precaution.

Irish Water is also investigating reports of supply disruptions affecting Cashel, Fethard and surrounding areas in Co. Tipperary in addition to supply disruptions impacting Aherlow and surrounding areas as of last evening.

Repairs to a burst water main disrupted supplies to Ballyclerihan, Lisronagh, Redcity surrounding areas in Co. Tipperary earlier on Monday – repairs were to be completed by 5pm.
