Huge Success For Tipp Food Producers At Blas na hÉireann Finals

Sixteen food producers from County Tipperary enjoyed success at the Blas na hÉireann finals – the Irish food awards and largest food awards on the island. The event returned to an in person event this year and is held in Dingle, County Kerry.
The bronze, silver and gold winners from Co. Tipperary across a range of different categories are: ABP Food Group, Barbara Russell Catering, Blanco Nino, Cashel Farmhouse Cheesemakers, Cooleeney Cheese, Emerald Oils, Glenpatrick, Golden Vale Mushrooms Ltd TA Clonmore Farm – who won a Chef’s Larder award for their Clonmore Farm Organic Mixed Salad Leaves – James Whelan Butchers – who won a Chef’s Larder award for their Pork Lard with Rosemary – My Tasty, Oakpark Foods, O’Donnells Crisps, Slievenamon View Organic Farm – who won a Chef’s Larder award for their Organic Mix Leaf Salad – Stapleton’s Bakery, Tullahay Farm and Crowe Meats Dundrum Ltd, who were also awarded Best in County.
This year’s finalists and winners got to experience the Blas Village in Dingle for the first time. As well as the awards being held here, finalists and winners have had the opportunity to showcase their products, engage with customers and meet key industry buyers.
The bronze, silver and gold winners from Co. Limerick are Ballyhoura Apple Farm, Glen Aine, Kearney’s Home Baking Ltd, Leahy Farmhouse Foods, Sodalicious, Old Irish Creamery, McMahon Quality Meats and Ballyhoura Mountain Mushrooms, who were also awarded Best in County.
Now in their 15th year, Blas na hÉireann saw a huge increase in entries with almost 3000 products and many new producers entering the awards for the first time.
