Tipp Man To Undertake Tandem Cycling Fundraiser In France

Tipperary man and former Councillor, Peter Ryan is to undertake a tandem cycling fundraiser in France.

The Paralympic cyclist with a legally blind status will partner with insurance company executive Gary McClarty for the event.

The event will cover 700km across sloping valleys, and sheer mountain tops, from Paris to Nice, this September.

The Paris2Nice Charity Cycle will get underway on September 10, starting in Paris before finishing up six days later, on September 15, in Nice.

Peter and Gary hope to raise over €10,000 for research that will provide future prevention approaches, treatments and cures for a spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases.
