The Irish Nures and Midwives Organisation is calling on Minister for Health, Stephen Donnelly to meet with elected INMO representatives in University Hospital Limerick.

The hospital has experienced record levels of overcrowding in recent years.

This comes as Minister Donnelly visited University Hospital Limerick today.

Welcoming the Minitser visit the INMO Assitant Director of Industrial Relations, Mary Fogarty says Minister Donnelly is seeing the situation in the hospital, first hand as today there are 72 patients on trolleys and 27 other patients are accommodated elsewhere in the hospital.

The union is disappointed that the Minister hasn’t responded to a request for a meeting and say they remain available to discuss their concerns and experiences in Ireland’s most overcrowded hospital.
