The death of a homeless man in Nenagh yesterday is under investigation.
The man had only recently moved to the town and was spotted by passers-by because he was slumped over a bench on Kenyon St.
The Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission has also been involved in the investigation as members of the force had earlier given him a lift to Nenagh.
It is standard procedure to involve GSOC if a death occurs and Gardai had been in contact with the deceased earlier.
It is understood that his death is not being treated as suspicious.
