A Co Tipperary mother and son were injured yesterday when a metal drain pipe became detached from a building hitting them both.
The incident happened on Silver St in Nenagh just after 4 pm and resulted in the mother sustaining serious facial injuries while her 11-year-old son sustained serious head injuries.
It is also reported that the woman was pushing a buggy at the time but that child is believed to be unharmed.
