Tipperary gain points in National Tidy Town Results

Tipperary town  picked up three more points in The National Tidy Town results for 2014.

The bandstand in Redmond Square was noted as an attractive centrepiece while the preservation of the old Ballroom tower was also commented upon favourably.

However, litter was still an issue in some areas including the entrances to Tipp Town Shopping Centre  and the Supervalu car park. 

Many street sign names were also said to have been difficult to read , being in  need of repainting.

Elsewhere Kilross have secured an additional 23 points to bring its 2014 score to 203 points.

Bansha is at 256 points while Emly which also won a Gold Award is at 318 points just 2 behind the national winner. 

Cashel remained level on secure 292 points.  In Co Limerick Galbally gained another 11 points to bring it to 306 just behind Adare.

Meanwhile Seamus Conway of Cahir Tidy Towns Committee was awarded with a Supervalu Tidy Town Hero today and the Helix. the award was granted to Seamus in recognition of his outstanding commitment and dedication to Cahir Tidy Towns.
