A family of three was rescued from Lough Derg last night after the boat they were in malfunctioned.
The alarm was raised after 7pm when the engine of the 36-foot cruiser failed just off Hare Head.
Valentia coastguard and the RNLI responded to the call and brought the family to safety.
The vessel was later towed to Dromineer harbour.
