Gardaí in Roscrea are continuing to appeal to the public for information in relation to a fatal crash that resulted in the 12th death on the country’s roads so far this year.
18 year-old Steven Carney, from Kennedy Park in Roscrea died and his 16 year old friend Stephen Loughnane was seriously injured when the BMW they were travelling in struck a wall on the Birr Road in Roscrea early yesterday morning.
The car had earlier been stolen from nearby Brosna in Co offaly.
Gardaí in Roscrea are appealing for any person who may have information in relation to a black BMW car that had been taken from a compound at Brosna between 1am and 1.40am yesterday morning to contact them.
