Vacant Houses in Tipperary to be renovated.

29 vacant houses in Tipperary are to be renovated as part of a €15million national investment in social housing announced by the government.

The scheme is intended to address, to some extent the housing shortage and, in the words ofr Fine Gael TD Noel Coonan, to “bring new life” to empty properties that would otherwise be targets of anti-social behaviour.

Among the areas where houses will be renovated is the Marian Terrace in Newport as well as units in Roscrea, borrisoleigh, borrisokane and Toomevara.
