The Oireachtas Joint Commitee on Transport and Communications will meet tomorrow with the Secretary General of the Irish Postmasters Union to discuss the concerns about the future of the post office network.
It is expected that the IPU representatives will argue that no real action has been taken to secure the network.
However commenting this afternoon on tomorrows meeting, the chairman of the committee John O’Mahony has said that he looks forward to hearing the IPU’s proposals to secure the future sustainability of the network.
