Co Tipperary accounted for the seventh highest number of personal injury awards per head of population in 2013.
That is according to the latest report by the Injuries Board.
The board said that nationwide, the value of awards it made last year amounted to €243million, which was an increase of 11.7% on 2012.
361 awards were made in Co Tipperary to a value of €8,882,000.
The county with the highest value of awards was Co Limerick with the total compensation amounting to €16,555,880 while Co Kilkennhy had the lowest value of awards at €3,168,143.
