Met Éireann has issued an orange weather warning as yet another Atlantic storm depression approaches the country threatening to increase the potential for further flooding along the coastline.

It issued the orange status along the east and south-west coasts, in Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Waterford, Meath, Cork and Kerry.

Meanwhile, Met Éireann has issued a yellow weather warning in Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary, and Connacht.

The Government has pledged emergency funding to assist communities hit by flooding as latest forecasts indicate more bad weather may cause further damage over the next 24 hours.
