Tour de Munster To Arrive In Co. Tipp Today

The Tour de Munster cycle fundraiser will arrive into Tipperary today on the first leg of the annual fundraiser for local branches of Down Syndrome Ireland.

Sean Kelly, the legendary Carrick on Suir cyclist, is amongst the group of over 100 that will depart Cork this morning and arrive into Clogheen shortly after 1pm today travelling over the Vee.

The cyclists will leave Clogheen at 2pm and are expected in Cahir at 2.30pm and Tipperary town by 3.30pm. After a break for lunch at the Ballykisteen Hotel the cyclists will leave for Limerick at 4.30pm and are due in Limerick at approximately 5.50pm. Tonight’s rest stop will be in Killaloe.

Over the next three days the cyclists will travel to Tralee on Friday, Kenmare on Saturday and return to Cork on Sunday at approximately 5pm.

Drivers on the N24 are asked to be mindful of the presence of the cyclists and support vehicles.
