The Health Minister James Reilly will visit the North Tipperary constituency this Friday on the request of Fine Gael Deputy Noel Coonan.
On his itinerary are the Community Hospital of the Assumption, Thurles and the Dean Maxwell Community Nursing Unit in Roscrea.
Commenting Deputy Noonan said he wants the Minister to see first-hand the community nursing facilities available in the constituency with a view to further enhancing and developing these services in the future.
He added that he also wants to keep the area's health services at the forefront of the minister's mind to ensure they are prioritised.
