The Vice President of the ICMSA, Co. Tipperary’s Pat McCormack has said today that many farmers in Co. Tipperary will lose out as a result of an agreement on the reform of the Common Agricultural Policy.

Yesterday an agreement was reached in Luxemburg to guarantee a minimum payment to farmers.  The minimum payment will be 60% of the average payment.

However, commenting today, Mr. McCormack said that Co. Tipperary will see the movement of a lot of the money to less productive areas of the country.
