Preparations are in their final stages for the numerous St Patrick’s Day parades taking place across the county.

The FAI’s John Delaney will be the Grand Marshal of Tipperary Town’s parade which kicks off at 3pm from O’Connell Road.

In Cashel, the town centre will be free of traffic from 1.30pm and the parade begins at 2pm.

The Clonmel parade starts at 3.30pm in Irishtown.

In Thurles, Sunday’s parade will see traffic restrictions in operation at Liberty Square and the parade will leave Abbey Road at 2.45pm.

People are reminded that there is a league match between Tipperary and Waterford at 2.30pm on the same day in Thurles.  Traffic should avoid Abbey Road between 1.30pm and 4pm.  No parking in Abbey Road or its car parks between those times.  Parking restrictions will be in operation in Liberty Square from 12 noon.  Traffic restrictions will be in operation from 2.30pm to 5pm.
