Housing Capital Allocation

South Tipperary Local Authorities are to recieve over €4.3 million from the housing capital allocation. The allocation will support investment under the national regeneration programme works, to improve the standard and energy efficiency of the national social housing stock as well as meeting commitments under existing contracts for delivering social and voluntary houses.

Explaining how the funding will be distributed and spent Fine Gael TD Tom Hayes said that South Tipperary will see €927,641 being spent to increase the housing supply in the constituency.

The vast bulk of the investment €3,406,350 will be spent on improving and regenerating the current housing stock.  This will include improving energy efficiency in council homes, as well as bringing vacant houses back into productive use.
