Gardai are warning people to be aware of bogus trades people calling to their doors offering services.
Speaking to Tipperary Mid West Radio, Garda John Finnerty of Bruff Garda Station said that in some cases some of these cold callers may charge exhorbitant rates or could indeed be thieves. He advised people to ask these callers for a brochure and to subsequently verify that they are credible, while also treating with caution any documentation that contains mobile phone numbers only.
