Tipperary Under Status Yellow Wind Warning Until Tonight

Met Eireann is warning of very strong Northwest winds for Tipperary, Limerick, Clare, Cork, Waterford, Leinster, Connaught and parts of Ulster.

The Status Yellow Wind warning came into effect at midnight and is in place until 8pm tonight.

Met Eireann is forecasting the possibility of debris from wind damage, loose objects becoming displaced and says conditions will be difficult for driving and cycling.

Gardaí in Clonmel seized firearms and ammunition as part of a multi-agency search operation yesterday afternoon.
