Water Low At Reservoir Serving Cashel Due To “Repeated Process Disruptions”

Residents in Cashel are being advised that due to repeated process disruptions at the Water Treatment Plant, drinking water levels in the reservoir serving the town is low.

Uisce Eireann says customers may experience low pressure with those on higher ground experiencing low pressure or water outages until 6pm this evening.

To support customers, alternative water supplies in the form of bulk tankers have been arranged and are in place at Cashel Rugby Club and Cashel Hospital.

Also Uisce Eireann says customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from the tanker and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.

The company says it understands the inconvenience that this disruption to normal services may cause and they would like to apologise to customers and thank them for their patience while they work to address the issue at the plant.
